Chauffeur-driven folks will love the rear seat comfort of the Ciaz. There's plenty of knee, head and legroom on offer, and it is easily the benchmark in its segment. The rear seats are welcoming and there's enough shoulder room to seat three abreast.

The driver's seat gets manual height adjustment and the ABC pedals are well spaced-out with a proper dead-pedal to rest your left foot. The seat is fairly high and the low-set dashboard offers good visibility of what's in front of you. Finding an ideal driving position is quite easy and the ergonomics are spot-on. That said, the front seats are well-bolstered and offer good under-thigh support. There are lots of hard plastics all around the cabin, but they don’t feel cheap, to be honest. However, it now gets birch blonde wood finish with satin chrome accents and a new 4.2 inch TFT Multi-Information Display (MID) for freshness. Most of the elements in the current model have been carried forward from its predecessor. The overall look is complete with a fresh set of alloy wheels. The rear section looks fresh due to a revised bumper and taillights with a new lighting signature.

The front bumper has a subtle update with circular fog lamps and a faux brushed metal finish surround that complement the projector headlamp unit with horizontal LED DRLs. Visually, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz now gets a sleek grille and a chrome strip on the top flanked by the redesigned headlamps. This engine can be had with either five-speed manual or four-speed automatic torque converter option. Under the hood, the Ciaz is powered by the 1.5-litre petrol engine with a Smart Hybrid technology that generates 103bhp at 6,000rpm and 138Nm at 4,400rpm. It got its first mid-life update in the year 2018.
